The following is more detailed explanation on the above departments:
Department of Education:
Considering that education is viewed as the most important step toward qualitative improvement of public relations in Iran, Arman Public Relations Institute has established Training Department.
This Institute declares its readiness to have educational cooperation with Public Relations Departments of public and private sectors in below areas:
a. Providing PR professors, instructors and sources.
b. Holding long-term and short-term training courses in the field of public relations.
c. Assessing the needs of PR education and evaluating PR training courses.
d. Holding practical and applied workshop.
It should be mentioned that Mr. Hamid Shokri Khanghah, Ph.D. student in 'Educational Planning', is the head of Education Department.
2. Consultancy and Enhancing Capabilities Department:
The main responsibility of this Department is to present PR consultancy to PR managers, students and experts.
This Department provides services in the various fields. The following are some examples:
a. Providing programs and strategies for the improvement of the quality of public
relations management.
b. Preparing term of reference and organizational chart for public relations Departments of organizations and offices.
c. Designing communicative program.
d. Identifying damaging factors in public relations.
e. Supervising communicative projects.
Mr. Ali Forouzfar, PR instructor and writer of advertising and marketing book, is head of Consultancy and Enhancing Capabilities Department.
3. Department for Knowledge production and publishing books and journals.
In line with assisting software movement and producing knowledge in the field of public relations, Arman Public Relations Institute has taken effective steps and has published various books entitled:
Writing in public relations, practical strategies in public relations, Principles and theories in public relations, media relations in public relations, interview techniques in public relations, Research, planning, and evaluating the effectiveness of PR programs, educational planning techniques in public relations, etc.
This Institute also publishes a bimonthly PR magazine entitled' Public relations Research'. More than 2500 people are subscribed the magazine. The magazine try qualitatively and quantitatively to improve public relations conditions and meet the needs of public relations society in Iran.
This Institute declares its readiness to cooperate with PR organizations and offices to publish specialized books in the field of public relations.
4. Holding annual scientific Festival and Symposium, conferences, etc and introducing prominent figures in the field of public relations and holding Annual Exhibition for PR capabilities.
Public Relations Research Institute holds an annual International Public Relations Symposium. In this event, a large number of PR practitioners and academics participate and some external and internal renowned professors will lecture in the ceremony.
Simultaneous with holding the Symposium, a Scientific Festival will be held. In the Festival, the best works on research and public opinion studies will be introduced and the best works related to the theme of the Symposium will be commended. Also, the best books, theses, articles and researches will be introduced.
Introducing PR Prominent figures throughout the world is another important activity of
Public Relations Research Institute. The Institute requests from the officials of different international bodies including International Public Relations Associations (IPRA), European Public Relations, Education and Research Association (EUPRERA), Public Relations Confederation of the Islamic Countries (PRCIC) to introduce their nominees. After nomination, Referee Committee of the Institute reviews the qualifications of the nominees and select prominent figures on the basis of determined criteria.
In addition, Concurrent with Symposium, Festival and Introducing Prominent figures, an Exhibition for PR Capabilities will be held annually by the Institute in collaboration with public relations departments, advertising companies and companies providing PR supplies and services.
5. Research and public opinions studies
Emphasizing research and evaluation, Public Relations Research Institute established Research and public opinions studies Department. This Institute announces its readiness to cooperate with private and governmental sectors of PR Departments in the following areas:
a. Conducting scientific studies in the field of public relations.
b. Conducting field researches
c. Conducting pubic opinion surveying projects
d. Conducting projects on measuring the effectiveness and success of public relations program
e. Conducting projects on content analysis, discourse analysis and radio and television programs.
Dr. Amir Masoud Amir Mazahari, PhD in sociology and faculty member, is head of above-mentioned department.
Publishing a newspaper entitled 'Arman Public relations'.
Arman Public Relations Newspaper has separate entity from Arman public Relations Research Institute, but it is prepared and published inside the Institute because the manager of both (Institute-Newspaper) is the same. One the one hand,
The Newspaper is a center for publishing viewpoints of PR people in Iran, On the other hand, it disseminates information on the latest events in Iran and throughout the World. For this reason, is considered a unique newspaper in the country. The Newspaper is managed by PR Journalists, PR Professors and Public relations and Journalism students.
The Newspaper declares its readiness to publish news and information from 'Iranian Public Relations Society '. This newspaper has representative Offices in different provinces in Iran.
